1. Why do we ask so many questions about "Specs"?
Sometimes clients ask us: "Can you just give me a price for a magnetic ring?"
To be honest, we are terrified of answering this question without more details. Why? Because two magnets can look exactly the same on the outside, but behave completely differently inside.

- Magnetization Direction: Does the N/S pole run through the height or the diameter?
- Pole Count: Is it 2 poles? 8 poles? Multipole?
- Coating/surfacing: Will it be used in a humid environment (needs Epoxy) or standard (Ni-Cu-Ni)?
If we "guess" your needs, we risk sending you a product that fails in your application. We ask for these details (OD, ID, Poles, etc.) to protect your project from failure.
2. The Truth About the $50 Handling Fee (And how to avoid it)
You might have noticed our policy: Orders under 5 pieces incur a $50 handling fee.
We want to be completely transparent about why this exists. We do not make a profit on this fee.
As a mass-production factory, our machines are huge. Setting up a machine to produce 1 piece takes the same amount of labor, mold calibration, and engineering time as setting up for 1,000 pieces. That $50 fee goes directly to covering the labor cost of the workers who stop the main line to set up for your sample.

We highly recommend you order at least 5 pieces. By doing this, the unit price covers the setup cost naturally, you get spare parts for testing, and you avoid paying the extra $50 fee entirely. It is a win-win.
