Absolutely not.

The display indicates that the magnetic poles have demagnetized, which may be caused by the following reasons:
1. Exposure to strong current or strong magnetic field;
2. The operating ambient temperature must match the operating temperature of the magnet.

Encoder magnets are high-precision components magnetized using advanced technology. Certain multi-pole magnetic rings, such as those with 64/62 pole pairs, require pole-by-pole magnetization to meet specific requirements. These components are extremely precise and complex.
If these magnets come into contact with a strong magnetic field during use, pole confusion can occur:
For example, a dual-rail magnetic target with 64/62 pole pairs may lose some or most of its poles after contact with a strong magnet, leading to component damage and rendering it unusable.

All encoder magnets sold by CCMagnetics undergo rigorous testing before shipment.
We also use specialized packaging to protect the products and prevent any contact with strong magnets during transit. You can place your orders with full confidence.
