Precautions for Magnetic Gear Installation

1. The magnet used in the magnetic gear is neodymium iron boron, which is relatively brittle, so when handling the magnetic gear, hold it securely. Once it falls to the ground, the magnetic ring of the magnetic gear may be cracked and damaged;

 

2. Due to the relatively strong magnetic force of the magnetic gear, during installation, the installation tool is easily attracted to the magnetic ring of the magnetic gear, which may damage the surface coating of the magnetic gear, so it is recommended to use stainless steel tools for installation;

 

3. Due to the strong magnetic force of the magnetic gear, if you wear a mechanical watch on your wrist, you should take it off in advance to avoid being magnetized;

 

4. Please do not place magnetic gear near electronic products, such as mobile phones. There are magnets on the speaker, microphone, and camera of the mobile phone, so as not to be magnetized by the magnetic field of the magnetic gear and affect the call quality and other losses;

 

5. If it is a plane transmission or a cone transmission, please do not put the two disks together or in a relatively close position, try not to hold the disk with both hands, because the magnetic force of the disk is very strong, in case the two disks are attracted together, may pinch hands or damage the product, try to wear professional gloves for installation.

 

 

As a non-contact transmission device, the magnetic gear should pay attention to the following points in normal use:

1. Check the gap between the active magnetic gear and the passive magnetic gear. Due to the strong suction between the active magnetic gear and the driven magnetic gear, during use, if the bearing is worn or the screws are loose, the gap between the two magnetic gears will be too close, or even directly worn. Usually check the gap between the two magnetic gears, and do not allow them to contact, otherwise the magnetic gears will be damaged.

 

2. Due to the strong magnetic force of the magnetic gear, if there are screws or other small iron filings in the environment during use, it is easy to attract to the surface of the magnetic gear. Therefore, pay attention to check whether there is any foreign matter on the surface of the magnetic gear, and clean it in time. Otherwise, it is easy to scratch the magnetic gear during rotation.

 

3. If there is dust on the surface of the magnetic gear, it should be cleaned in time. If the dust adsorbed on the magnetic gear cannot be removed with a dust-free cloth, it can be removed with adhesive tape.

 

4. Check whether the coating on the surface of the magnetic gear is corroded or blistered. The main raw material of the magnetic ring of the magnetic gear is NdFeB, which is easy to be oxidized, so we generally have a coating on the surface of the magnetic ring, the most common one is nickel-plated copper nickel, which is used to protect the magnetic ring from oxidation. However, if there are corrosive gases or liquids in the working environment, the coating will be damaged, and the magnetic ring of the magnetic gear will be easily oxidized, thus affecting the magnetic force. In some poor usage environments, we need to check the surface coating of the magnetic gear frequently, and replace it in time if found.

 

5. Check whether the screws are loose. Sometimes, due to machine shaking and other reasons, the solid screws of the magnetic gear are loosened, and regular inspections are required.
